Day 1, 2 and 3 - From 27/09 to 29/09

Here I am! Leap into the unknown! I'm at the airport, I cannot go back.

I still don’t realize. I do have an apprehension but it's like I am leaving for 2 weeks holidays. Some photos with my father, a few text messages to the buddies, a call to my bearded guy and here I am on the plane as if nothing had happened.

**The Minardises**

It seemed simple said like that, but no, when you are Amandine Minard and the queen of the blunders, you do not leave without a Minardise or 2.

- I was just arrived in the long queue of airport check-in when I heard the whistle. The security men of the airport are unambiguous: everyone outside there is a parcel bomb. Finally, these 15 minutes later I was the first in the queue.

- Flight delay, of course.

- Quietly sitting in the plane, comfortable, everything is fine, I am watching a movie. And suddenly the passenger in front of me decide to hat's what my neighbor in front decides to lie down, reversing entirety my glass of water on my jeans! Lucky me! I've planned a legging.

To recover from my emotions, a little surprise.

A hostess comes to see me, she will probably give me information about the next flight. I hope that I did not miss it.But No! She brought a bottle of champagne! Great surprise. I would drink thinking of you buddies!! (life is much cooler with nice colleagues!)

I land in Bali and decide to go to Sanur directly. The idea is to take the boat from there tomorrow morning and join Thui-Vi and Charlotte, 2 friends who are on an island called Lenbomgan. I had planned to go directly to the island, but with the delay of the plane I missed the last boat.I do not have much to share about Sanur, I only saw the beach which was very pretty. For me it was a stopover city and to be quite honest it was an evening then a morning a bit difficult.

Plage de Sanur

My hostel was nice but almost empty, around me couples and families. I felt really alone, far from everything and far from my loved ones. I really wondered if I had made the right decision and if this kind of adventure was for me.I still do not have the answer to this question, I need more time. I wanted to use this trip to give myself some personal challenges (for example: to stand-up on a surf, to face my dizziness ...), to leave alone was my first challenge. I would give you the answer later. I left France, but the challenge is not valid yet 😉

After a few days with the girls, and two days alone, I feel better and loneliness did not have the same impact on me anymore. I know I will quickly meet a friend, Jihad, who joins me on my last week in Bali and then I will be with friends during my stay in Australia.

**Les Minardises**

I have time to walk a little in Sanur, the evening and the next morning. And especially the time to do a Minardise. I am seeing a sign with a wave. I imagine that it must indicate the direction of the sea. It’s the evening, I am walking in that street, I no longer really cross anyone in this dark alley so I turned around. Then I did the same the next day before I decided to look at my location application, I was in the opposite side of the sea. It is only by retracing my steps that I understand that it was a Tsunami sign.

Tips: - MapsMe is a great app that downloads maps in advance and allows you to geotag and direct you off-line. Very useful when you do not have a sense of direction like me.
